Future Continuous Tense: happening over a period of time in the future.  

Affirmative

Interrogative

Negative

He will be working.

Will he be working?

He will not be working.

She will be working.

Will she be working?

She will not be working.

It will be working.

Will it be working?

It will not be working.

They will be working.

Will they be working?

They will not be working.

You will be working.

Will you be working?

You will not be working.

I will be working.

Will I be working?

I will not be working.

We will be working.

Will we be working?

We will not be working.

 

Formula: Subject+ be+ present participle (verb with ing) + complement 

Examples: 

They will be playing football in the ground.

We will be having coffee at the airport.

Jim will be going to cinema.

She will be shopping in that market this Friday.

Note: We often contract the subject and will e.g We'll  and will and not e.g won't .

Exercise: Fill in the blanks with the correct future continuous tense verb. 

 

 

  1. I __________(play) tennis tomorrow evening. [ will be playing]
  2. They _______________(not watch) TV at 9pm tonight.  [ will not be watching]
  3. What ___________you (do) on Friday evening? [will you be doing]
